Long over Due

Sorry that I have not been around as much as I should have been. My life got very hectic. I started at Kendall! It's been great, I've been learning a lot, and I've been working a lot. September 15 I turned 21. With that came a trip to New York City where I got to see my sister. Friday the 16th I flew in and my sister wanted to go for a run in "her Central Park".  I don't run but I went for a walk around the reservoir. The sunset was amazing. I didn't give it justice But here are some shots.

Art Prize 2011 had over 1,600 works of art. The winner receives a $250,000 prize. What makes Art Prize so unique to me is that it brings in so many people that would otherwise dismiss art and allows them to interact with it. It brought in thousands of people to the Grand Rapids Area. Everyone is allowed to vote for their favorite artist. This has caused controversy and disagreements with top ten and even the winner of Art Prize. I don't agree with everything personally but I look passed that and thought about the fact that Art Prize is different from any other art competition out there. It also allows so many artist to participate and has a wide variety of mediums shown. Here are some of the moments from my explorations
